Guests at Newmarket Cottage share an indoor heated pool, only a few minutes walk from their private garden. With a glass ceiling and windows opening onto a beautiful garden with sun loungers, the swimming-pool is a very relaxing place for both adults and children.
There is also a fully equipped gym with running treadmills, bike, a giant television screen and the Power Plate.
Spa treatments include deep, relaxing massage, Reiki, facials, manicures & pedicures.
Children can enjoy an outdoor play area with a playhouse, a play cabin (heated in winter) with toys, dressing up clothes, bicycles and pedal cars.

BURFORD (6.2 miles) one of England’s prettiest small medieval towns. The Tolsey Museum is on the High Street.

BOURTON-ON-THE-WATER (9.1 miles), known as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’ as the River Windrush runs through the centre, is one of the most popular Cotswold villages. Attractions include a Model Railway, the Model Village, the Dragonfly Maze, Birdland Park & Gardens and the Cotswold Motoring Museum.
LOWER SLAUGHTER (10.8 miles) is a quaint village beside the little Eye stream with several footbridges and a 19th century Corn Mill. The museum in the village owns one of only three unused millstones left in the country.
UPPER SLAUGHTER (11.6 miles) is half a mile from Lower Slaughter, along the River Eye. Upper Slaughter is different in character and offers picturesque scenes with its Manor, Church and its wonderful cottages.
MORETON-IN-MARSH (12.4 miles) offers good shopping, including antiques and the very popular Tuesday market. There are several good eating places.
WITNEY (14.3 miles). Nearby is Cogges Manor Farm museum, a popular filming location and featured as Yew Tree Farm, where Lady Edith’s child was looked after by the Drewes, in the ITV drama series Downton Abbey.
BAMPTON (14.5 miles) is a pretty village and the setting for the filming of the exterior scenes of Downton Abbey.
BIBURY (16.1 miles) is a picture perfect Cotswold village, set in a conservation area, nestling on the River Coln and home to Arlington Row, the most photographed and beautiful cottages in the country, now owned by the National Trust, as well as Bibury Trout Farm and the Saxon Church, the Church of St Mary.
CHIPPING CAMPDEN (17.7 miles) is a quintessential Cotswold town, boasting an elegant terraced high street dating back to the 14th century. Here you can discover old inns, specialist shops, tea rooms and a splendid 17th century market hall.
WOODSTOCK (17.9 miles) is a picturesque, historic market town with access to Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.
BROADWAY (19.2 miles) is often referred to as the ‘Jewel of the Cotswolds’, with attractions including Broadway Tower and Country Park.

Most people who visit the Cotswolds do some walking, even if it is just a stroll to the village pub! The area contains some of England’s most beautiful countryside and there are over 3,000 miles of public footpaths, to enable visitors to fully discover this rich landscape.
Foxholes Nature Reserve, Bruern (0.5 miles) is an ancient woodland famed for its spectacular spring bluebells, abundant birdlife and fabulous fungi.
There is a lovely 2 mile walk from Bruern Abbey to Shipton-under-Wychwood.
There are several walks from Shipton-under-Wychwood to Charlbury.
Wychwood Wild Garden is a beautiful woodland and garden, close to the centre of Shipton-under-Wychwood (4 miles).
Rushy Common Nature Reserve, Stanton Harcourt, Witney (18.7 miles). A 30 hectare site with three lakes that are being managed for the benefit of people and wildlife.
Broadway Tower Country Park, Broadway (19.2 miles). This unique Capability Brown Folly Tower is one of Britain’s most recognised icons.
