"Lovely place, great outdoor area with nice views. Ideal for family time away or quiet weekend with friends”

2020-03-13 schnauzer2707 (Tripadvisor)

"So relaxing, lots of space to cook and socialise together in the large open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge. We stayed during the midst of storm Ciara and were really snug at the cottage. The outdoor garden area was perfect for our dogs and for us to do some of our own exercise when we couldn’t go too far on the Sunday c/o the weather. The small village of Melmerby is lovely and we did a great 7.5 mile walk direct from the cottage. The whole Rowley team are so helpful and make our stay so relaxing. The hamper basket, wine and food in the fridge on arrival, is always so welcome and gratefully received. Thanks again!"

"Amazing place to stay with friends and family. We were welcomed with a generous hamper filled with local goodies. The bedrooms are very comfortable and all have stylish ensuites. Everything about the property is quality and made to a high standard. The living/ kitchen diner is fantastic, it's such a huge area to socialise in. We couldn't fault the place, only accept the weather, which rained/snowed constantly but that just made the house even more cosy. Great communication from Staycation, who managed to accommodate us last minute. Highly recommend a stay here if you want to escape to the country but still have local villages and towns a short walk and drive away."
