Situated on a PYO farm with an award-winning onsite tearoom and farm shop, our Grade II listed retreat offers a true taste of the West Country. Guests delight in the lovely half-acre garden with swimming pool and orchard. The perfect setting for a fun-filled farm break, there’s plenty of wildlife here including deer, wild rabbits, squirrels and birds plus a further 15 acres for kids to run around in and get excited about picking their own fruit. And it's not just strawberries up for grabs - everything from gooseberries to runner beans can be found. They’ll also love feeding the resident pigs and piglets along the way! In fact, the family-run business has featured on Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s ‘River Cottage’ series in which he cited it as one of his favourite places. Located near Bethersden village, this haven of peace and tranquillity is surrounded by 35 acres of private farmland with nine large ponds populated with ducks and geese, a tinkling stream and a network of footpaths connected directly to the farm – perfect for your pet pooch. A stay at Stable Cottage is a slice of countryside heaven. Our well- appointed timber clad dwelling is a converted stable situated on the edge of Milton Lilbourne in the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Despite its agricultural history, the cottage is anything but rustic inside, offering luxury ground floor accommodation for four. The setting could hardly be more peaceful. Located beside a footpath that leads over the fields to the next village, gaze out onto fields of grazing sheep and wake up to the sound of bleating, a crowing cockerel and horses hooves on the lane outside (there’s a livery yard just opposite if you want to bring your horse on holiday with you).
