Get a taste of the 'good life' at this hidden gem, with plenty of room for two adults and two children to stay. Situated on a PYO farm with an award-winning onsite tearoom and farm shop, our Grade II listed retreat offers a true taste of the West Country. Guests delight in the lovely half-acre garden with swimming pool and orchard. The perfect setting for a fun-filled farm break, there’s plenty of wildlife here including deer, wild rabbits, squirrels and birds plus a further 15 acres for kids to run around in and get excited about picking their own fruit. And it's not just strawberries up for grabs - everything from gooseberries to runner beans can be found. They’ll also love feeding the resident pigs and piglets along the way! In fact, the family-run business has featured on Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s ‘River Cottage’ series in which he cited it as one of his favourite places. Larkin Farm Cottages, Kent

Get together at our gaggle of cottages set on the Kent farm that featured in The Darling Buds of May ITV series. The iconic farm buildings have now been sensitively converted. Each has its own privacy and individuality, with no skimping on the interiors, attaining the AA’s ultimate commendation of 5 Gold Stars. Located near Bethersden village, this haven of peace and tranquillity is surrounded by 35 acres of private farmland with nine large ponds populated with ducks and geese, a tinkling stream and a network of footpaths connected directly to the farm – perfect for your pet pooch. Hampton Wafre Cottage, Herefordshire

A laid fire, welcome basket of goodies (plus one for the pooch!) and warm welcome await at this lovingly restored 17th-century barn, situated on a working arable farm. Offering splendid isolation in stunning Herefordshire countryside, enter a peaceful rural haven as you make your way up the half-mile private drive. Sleeping four, the cottage is brimming with country charm and character, complete with exposed beams and a warming wood burner. Your canine friends will love the underfloor heating! There are an abundance of great countryside walks straight from the front door, plus the opportunity to potter on the farm or fish for carp in the onsite lake. Or just relax in the private enclosed garden with barbecue terrace overlooking the attractive farm paddocks. Hunters & Harvest Moon, East Devon

Our two luxury properties, nestled in the heart of a working arable farm, provide guests with a true taste of countryside living. Set in 10 acres of rolling countryside within the peaceful Otter Valley, discover complete tranquillity, with numerous walks from the doorstep, a stream to paddle in and fabulous picnic spots to boot. An abundance of birdlife and wildlife, including foxes, deer, badgers and hares, are often spotted too! Perfect for guests travelling with dogs, each cottage has a private suntrap garden with barbecue and dog-proof fencing - ideal for your canine pals to romp about in. East Devon’s all about the great outdoors and you will be spoilt for choice with the scenic and cultural riches nearby. The historic lace town of Honiton is a ten-minute drive, with its range of shops, pubs, eating places and a thrice-weekly market. The Jurassic coastline and a range of other fantastic attractions are also within easy reach, providing endless opportunities for some lovely days out. A beautiful conversion of a 400-year-old threshing barn, our two adjacent properties are bright and airy with contemporary décor. Each cottage has a sociable open plan living space with wonderfully cosy wood burner waiting to warm you up after your day’s exertions!

Stable Cottage, Wiltshire

A stay at Stable Cottage is a slice of countryside heaven. Our well- appointed timber clad dwelling is a converted stable situated on the edge of Milton Lilbourne in the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Despite its agricultural history, the cottage is anything but rustic inside, offering luxury ground floor accommodation for four. The setting could hardly be more peaceful. Located beside a footpath that leads over the fields to the next village, gaze out onto fields of grazing sheep and wake up to the sound of bleating, a crowing cockerel and horses hooves on the lane outside (there’s a livery yard just opposite if you want to bring your horse on holiday with you). The perfect rural getaway for a family or two couples, our dog-friendly cottage is the ultimate luxury base to enjoy long countryside walks and to discover the nearby megalithic monuments and picturesque villages, as well as the delights of Salisbury.
