"We had a great family holiday and loved having the canoes etc on hire all week to use whenever we liked."

2023-08-04 Delia P, New Malden

"Perfect for a variety of activities for all the family. The waterside location was great - we had taken our own paddle boards and kayak. We hired bikes for an afternoon and had afternoon tea in the lovely garden at JK’s Bistro. We spent one afternoon at the water park and beach - clambering across the huge inflatable and sliding and jumping off. Lots of places to walk and villages to visit. The grandparents went to Tetbury and we all had a great day at Bourton-on-water. The hot tub was a great hit too."

"Have just got home after an amazing weekend with friends (there were 8 of us) staying at The Landings, Cotswold Water park. The Moorings house itself was beautiful, spacious, clean and extremely well stocked with everything you might need. The surrounding area and scenery is spectacular with a great choice of local pubs and restaurants but is also very peaceful. The hosts are very responsive and friendly and are happy to help with any queries. We had such a fantastic time here that we have decided to make it an annual tradition!"

"Excellent property in a great location and with spectacular views immediately over the lake. The host was extremely friendly and gave us some amazing tips for pubs, shops, fishing, walks and other local activities. I highly recommend this property (plus renting the Indian canoe to explore the lake)."

"This place was great for a group of us, the hot tub is great and the view is beautiful. The facilities within the house all work and we had everything we needed, we didn’t feel that there was anything missing in particular. We would definitely recommend this place to family and friends, and potentially stay here again in the future!"

2022-06-22 Lin C, Bristol

"Amazing girls break. Return visit at this beautiful lakeside retreat. Dinners on the deck, lovely barbecue. Hot tub heaven looking out over the tranquil water. Hired the Canoe and Kayak on offer too, and explored the other side of the lake. Went for long walk around lakes and got a sneak peak at George Clooney directing his new movie on nearby lake! (very special). Lovely afternoon tea at Jennie's on walk too (scones and coffee cake highly recommended). Topped off with some sort of impromtu and hilarious summer Solstice celebration over the lake (it was and usually is an amazing sunset). You simply must go."

2022-04-29 Ian H, Reading

"Anniversary Stay For Eight Seniors. It was excellent. At our age we are hard to please, but this stay made us all happy. The lovely accommodation and location was well supported by Kevin and his staff. The hot tub was used by two of us who said it was great. We ate out mainly but had a chef from Dineindulge to cook a superb dinner for us on the anniversary night. I think we will be back but will bring grandchildren next time."

2022-04-22 Sarah F, London

"Another Amazing Stay at The Moorings!. It is now our third visiting to the Landings and again it exceeded our expectations. Such a fabulous holiday and we can't wait to get back again! Kevin as always was an amazing host and on hand to help with anything. The sunsets from the veranda are sensational. There is just so much to do around the area to keep everyone happy and it is so peaceful and relaxing at the same time. Would highly recommend and have already to many friends, of which some have already booked!"

2021-09-20 Emma C, Ludgershall

"Thank you so much, we had a great stay and the house was lovely."

2021-07-21 Sophie M, Yatton

"A wonderful girls weekend to celebrate my 30th. Thank you Kevin, The Moorings was amazing!"

2021-06-14 Lin C, Bristol

"We had a fabulous weekend, spent; catching up; sunbathing on the jetty and grassed area; canoeing together from the jetty; a circular walk round south Cerney and the old railway tracks; a morning 5K; tennis (four racquets provided - bring your own balls! ); lots of hot tub sessions and al fresco food. We hired a 4 person canoe and kayaks from Kevin who BTW is wonderful - and now we all want to go back with our families. This place is stunning. The lake on The Landings is so quiet and bird life abundant - we saw herons, swans, Canada geese, mallards and coots. The layout inside is sociable and comfortable too. The Moorings is one of only 46 houses on The Landings which is gated and safe. It's very special and there are very few holiday homes for rent here - so if you see availability I suggest Book it with Staycation Holidays. Their service was second to none and they always picked up the phone immediately."

2021-05-28 Victoria H, England

"Absolutely beautiful lakeside house, great to have direct access to the lake, hot tub was a perfect addition to the house to chill out and look across the lake. Very clean and tidy and well equipped, owner was really helpful and genuinely lovely guy. Wonderful stay thank you."

2021-04-24 S Menham, Swindon

"The cottage was incredibly well equipped, and it was bigger than appeared in the photos. The jetty into the lake was a useful feature and the lake was ideal for SUPping, kayaks etc. The Moorings is south facing, so the decking is a lovely spot to enjoy the sunsets. There are plenty of dog walks around and the nearby village was pretty and has pubs, a couple of shops and a post office. There was ample storage space, including three fridges and two freezers. And a handy BBQ in the decking. It is difficult to find fault. The Landings is a beautiful little development of c 30 houses and has two well maintained tennis courts. It is worth noting that The Moorings is semi-detached and with close neighbours, so as a visitor, you have to be a little careful with noise. A very peaceful settling."

2021-04-18 V Kendall, Maidenhead

"Excellent accommodation in a beautiful setting."

Hopefully we will be back :)"

"Great location, great house & so much to do. Thank you Kevin for all the local tips!"

2019-10-31 C Hitchcock-Smith, Hampshire

"Fantastic location and views from the house, especially being right on the water front with our own jetty. Lovely property with plenty of fridge/freezer space and ovens to cater for our family gathering. I was concerned it would be small for our party of ten but I was wrong. Plenty of space for lounging, eating etc. Responses to enquiries and needs were immediate and good. I would definitely recommend this property."

2019-10-25 R Hopper, Truro

"Amazing, quiet relaxing stay. Beautiful house with everything you need and very helpful host. We used the lake and hot tub every day, the kids and adults all had fun in the house and exploring all the local areas. The location is great for walks, fishing and everything children love to do."

2019-09-16 E Palfrey, Slough

"This house is incredible. We were completely blown away by the whole experience. The hot tub is a huge benefit to the property but even without, there was so much to do. We kayaked a lot and chilled on the decking a lot. The house itself was very clean and very comfortable. Easily accommodated 10 people without feeling as if you were on top of each other."

2019-09-09 L Swallow, Northampton

"Amazing stay! Beautiful house with everything you could need for a week/weekend away. Great having the hot tub and tennis courts! Would definitely recommend."

2019-08-22 C Usher, Dorset

"Fantastic holiday cottage right on one of the larger lakes. Our first time to this area, there are so many activities and things to do we ran out of time to fit them all in. With the kids out paddleboarding and kayaking from the back door or just sat in the hot tub, it was difficult to make them leave the house. The bridlepaths and footpaths linking to other lakes and the village are great too. Will definitely be back."

2019-08-03 S Wylie, England

"The property worked excellently for us as a group of 4 adults and 5 children. With the lakes and countryside and Cirenceter we had plenty to keep the kids busy. The lake is wonderful to kayak around - very peaceful to sit out on patio at night and watch the swans swim past."

2019-07-24 A Parry, Stafford

"Great house in a stunning location. Would recommend hiring the kayaks."

"Beautiful house and location."

2019-05-26 C Kennedy, London

"This is a perfect place to stay for large groups - we were all attending a wedding in Cripps Barn which was only 20 minutes drive away. The house is right on the lake and thankfully we had fabulous weather so were able to use the hot tub and enjoy the views. The host was extremely helpful in the run up to the stay with any questions we had. The house was clean and even better than it looks in the photos. Would definitely recommend."
