Breathe the fresh coastal air from Bijou Cottage, our attractive bolthole for two tucked away in the cute seaside town of Deal just a few minutes’ walk from the beach.

Built in the 1800's, Bijou Cottage is a small but perfectly formed fisherman’s cottage. Newly refurbished, the pooch friendly home welcomes you with subdued hues, wood flooring, original architecture and lovely finishing touches.

Upstairs the cottage has sumptuous bedrooms and a bathroom with walk in rainfall shower and stylish slipper bath. Outside an enclosed patio is perfect for al fresco dining and relaxing after a day of sightseeing or activities. Or warm yourself by the log burner after a bracing walk on the beach!

Within a short walk, lively Deal offers a great selection of eclectic independent shops, galleries, boutiques and delicatessens. Its many bars, pubs and restaurants include one at the end of the last remaining fully intact leisure pier in Kent.

Bijou Cottage is ideal for a refreshing coastal break in Kent, with a path alongside the beachfront stretching along the coast to Dover and Sandwich Bay for keen walkers (and their hounds).

The perfect gateway to either London or Europe, on a clear day you can see neighbouring France (accessible by ferry or the channel tunnel) via Dover which is a ten minute drive away.

Take a wildlife boat trip at neighbouring Sandwich Bay. Nearby, the cathedral city of Canterbury, accessible by car, train or bus, is great for both sight seeing & shopping. Turner Contemporary Gallery/Dreamland, Faversham Brewery and Port Lympne Reserve are all a 40 minute drive away.

Not forgetting there are three castles (Deal Castle, Walmer Castle & Dover Castle) to explore. There is good fishing from the Pier and four golf courses nearby (which hosted The Golf Open 2021). The Astor Theatre is a walk away and you can take the riverbus to the Roman Fort of Richborough.
