"The house is superb and it feels so spotless and clean on arrival. Its in a lovely quiet location. Its so very welcoming and certainly lives up to its write up. Scones and bubbly on arrival. The living room is so spacious and the kitchen area is great for cooking and eating. It has all the amenities that you would expect from this type of rental. Good size fridge which I find so disappointing in so many homes. The bedrooms are all of a very good size and bathrooms are so clean and modern. The master suite is stunning. Beds are very comfy and towels so fluffy. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at this property. We certainly will be back and would always recommend it. Sarah and her family are so very welcoming and helpful."

"We have just returned from a fabulous week’s family holiday at Apple Mill (seven adults). The cottage was fantastic, a real home from home, spotless, light and spacious, very comfy and will equipped with all mod cons, a wood burner and lots of original features too. We especially enjoyed listening to the birds whilst in the hot tub! The cottage has a lovely garden and barbecue area and is in a superb tranquil location with stunning countryside, beautiful villages and the Jurassic coast all nearby. Sarah and Richard were super welcoming hosts with a cream tea and bubbly on arrival and a font of local knowledge. We can’t wait to return and recommend Apple Mill unreservedly."

"All 8 of us agreed that we had a lovely time at Apple Mill. Charles at Staycation Holidays made the whole booking experience flow very easily and was a friendly chap. Apple Mill had some lovely features remaining from its time as a working building. It was a luxurious place to stay and felt like home very quickly. The kitchen was very well stocked with loads of plates, cups, cutlery, etc. Such a change from some of the places we have visited! "

2019-03-03 C Whitworth, Hampshire

"What a place! We had such an amazing stay there even though it was only for a weekend. The bedrooms are all a good size and well equipped. The house has so much character and the kitchen is modernised with a touch of farmhouse on the decor. The lounge is a lovely space with wood burner and wood provided. 3 large sofas mean there is plenty of space to unwind and the hot tub is so nice to relax in day or night. Overall a fabulous house and somewhere we will be returning to in the future."

”A true rural retreat – we’ve had a lovely time both in the cottage and at the local beaches. Every holiday we set ourselves a target; we try to achieve the following – a cream tea, fish and chips on the beach, prawns in a pot and a cup of tea in a polythene cup at the beach. We’ve managed a full house this time! The lemon drizzle cake was an unexpected treat too! Thank you. The children loved Bicton Park and the Seaton Trams. A lovely holiday.”

2017-05-26

”A lovely comfortable holiday cottage with lots of home comforts, Our first visit to the South West, and we will certainly be back. The quality and cleanliness of everywhere has been excellent. Had fantastic weather, too hot to eat out in the evening one night, but not complaining! Enjoyed the variety of beaches as did both sandy and pebbles – both have something to offer a toddler. Not had to travel far to see lots, and a great location being so close to the motorway. We are sure to be back to it’s very toddler friendly, quiet and relaxed cottage with all it’s nice touches. Thanks.”

2016-08-15 Chris C

"We were greeted with a wonderful welcome pack, with loads of local produce. The barn is very spacious, luxuriously appointed and very clean. Everything you could possibly need has been thought of. If in the very unlikely event of needing something else, the very helpful owners are on site. There is plenty to do locally, and the barn has the most comprehensive information pack we had ever seen. We really enjoyed Seaton, Beer, Branscombe and Budleigh Salterton. Great food at the River Cottage Canteen in Axminster and the Golden Lion in Tipton St John. The garden is a great suntrap, secluded and private. We really enjoyed lounging in the hot tub, a real treat! Highly recommended."

2016-05-27 Val T

"The barn is extremely well equipped, and with all the added extras you would expect with a luxury stay. A property you can utilise any time of the year. Owner also very helpful and makes your stay feel special. Certainly recommend this property for any one looking for a special holiday stay ."

”We all had a really fantastic stay at Apple Mill – the accommodation was first class and we would all like to return at some point later in the year. The welcome pack was really appreciated, and included scones, cream and jam, and a bottle of Bubbles”
