Details: For the ninth year in a row, the National Trust has teamed up with the purveyors of purple-wrapped loveliness to provide wonderful family days out at Easter. Unleash your inner explorer with adventurous quests taking place across the country. From spring woodlands and craggy coastlines, to historic houses and enchanting castles, there are over 250 Cadbury Easter Egg Hunts to choose from across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Eggsplorers receive a Trail Journal with plenty of clues to help them on their way and on completing the trail, they’ll receive a delicious Cadbury chocolate treat as a reward. 2 The Great Eden Egg Hunt

Details: Roll up for the Eden Easter Eggstravaganza! This year it’s bigger and better than ever. Take on the challenge of the Egg Hunt, compete in the assault course, and get stuck into lots of egg-themed games. There’ll be something to suit all ages – including adults who love to play. What’s more, those lucky enough to find a golden egg can take a turn at hitting a huge egg piñata. When the piñata breaks, get ready to catch some sweet treats! All activities are included in your Eden admission ticket.

3 Steam and Transport Weekend

There’s also a vintage funfair and lots of family activities including face painting, Punch & Judy shows and balloon artists while your little ones will love to meet the Gruffalo and see Tree Fu Tom in his mini show.

Details: English Heritage is piling on the fun this Easter with their adventure quests located at historical places all across the country – from pirates and smugglers on the Cornish coast to jesters, knights and Roman gladiators. Children can get hands-on with history and crack clues in order to complete the quest and receive their chocolate reward!
