”We all had a really fantastic stay at Elliotts House – the accommodation was first class and we would all like to return at some point later in the year. The welcome pack was really appreciated, and included scones, cream and jam, and a bottle of “bubbles”. ”
KW – April 2016
”Lovely cottage – we enjoyed our visits from the cats! Very well equipped and Woodbury Park an added bonus. We loved the beach at Sidmouth and visiting the Donkey Sanctuary as well as swimming. Livvy enjoyed playing with the toys in the cottage, the grown ups enjoyed the cream teas on arrival!”
”As promised (in last years comment) here we are again, and have had just as good a time. The weather has been amazing compared with other parts of the country and Budliegh and Biction remain favourites. Good pub lunches at the Golden Lion in Tipton St John and Diggers Rest at Woodbury Salterton. The cottage has been as lovely as ever. Sad to be heading home. Thank you.”
”Bicton Gardens and Crealy Park are both good days out it you have young children. The beach at Exmouth is nice and sandy although it does seem to get very busy, so if you like peace and quiet it may not be the best choice. Branscombe has a really long pebbly beach and it is extremely tranquil. The lanes down to it are a bit tight but its worth it. If you want to visit Lyme Regis, get there early or use the park and ride, parking is extremely limited in the town centre.”
”We had a lovely weeks stay, we find lots of things to keep our young family amused! Lyme Regis, Marble House, Crealy. Would definitely come back again to look for fossils!”
”A lovely cottage and very comfortable, set in such lovely Devonshire countryside. We love. All had a great time exploring things to do. The beaches at Sidmouth and Seaton and adventures at Crealy. Our first visit to Devon but it won’t be our last. Wonderful holiday, many thanks.”
”Lovely cottage, scones, jam and cream a very welcoming touch on arrival. Lucy and Tilly kept us company for the week. We will return soon.”
”Beautiful barn, well equipped and comfy! Gorgeous countryside – so peaceful. Will definitely return to do more things for adults ‘National Trust’ doesn’t really appeal to teenagers! Don’t want to leave…”
”A wonderful location for a week away with the family whilst summering back in the UK away from the heat of Dubai… we didn’t mind the rain too much, especially in such a beautiful cottage, (a log burner and fabulous bedding such a bonus!) and with the Olympics on… ”
”Traditional English seaside at Sidmouth and Lyme Regis hit the right note with the children (and their cousins also staying locally) and the Full Festival was a real plus. Too many great cafes and fish and chips to mention. Thank you Sarah – simply spot on!”
”A lovely stay in a beautiful cottage. Thomas (22 months) thoroughly enjoyed his first paddle in the sea, as well as trips to Bicton Park and on the Seaton Trams. Not to mention running up and down the garden and getting to know the cats! Mum and Dad enjoyed the peaceful setting and wide variety of spots for afternoon tea! Hopefully we will be back in the future.”
”A very comfortable base from which to explore, get stuck and also lost in narrow lanes. Lovely National Trust properties to visit so we got our moneys worth with one membership this year. A spot to recommend and perhaps come back one day.”
”A true rural retreat – we’ve had a lovely time both in the cottage and at the local beaches. Every holiday we set ourselves a target; we try to achieve the following – a cream tea, fish and chips on the beach, prawns in a pot and a cup of tea in a polythene cup at the beach. We’ve managed a full house this time! The lemon drizzle cake was an unexpected treat too! Thank you. The children loved Bicton Park and the Seaton Trams. A lovely holiday.”
”A lovely comfortable holiday cottage with lots of home comforts, Our first visit to the South West, and we will certainly be back. The quality and cleanliness of everywhere has been excellent. Had fantastic weather, too hot to eat out in the evening one night, but not complaining! Enjoyed the variety of beaches as did both sandy and pebbles – both have something to offer a toddler. Not had to travel far to see lots, and a great location being so close to the motorway. We are sure to be back to it’s very toddler friendly, quiet and relaxed cottage with all it’s nice touches. Thanks.”
”Thank you, enjoyed every minute of our stay here. Hope to return one day.”
”Really enjoyable stay and very relaxing. Lovely cottage – very toddler friendly! Weather was changable but was great to come back to such a nice ‘home’ at the end of the day.”
”Beautiful barn conversion, very well equipped. Wonderfully peaceful – enjoyable stay. Thank you.”
”What a lovely cottage. Had a lovely week in this peaceful setting. There was lots to do with our 6 and 4 year old boys.”
”We have had a really lovely week. The weather hasn’t been so kind – but we have been very comfortable in the cottage and always find something to do. On the clear days we did have – the views are lovely and found it easy to get to places. Our boys have loved exploring – and our youngest just loves the cat! ”
”Very much enjoyed our stay – a really comfortable cottage. Lucky with the weather and enjoyed walking along the coast path at Budleigh Salterton and Branscombe. Tried out the pool and golf driving range and visited the quarry at Beer – all good. First time we’ve been to this part of Devon – a great location. Thanks for the cream tea on arrival! ”
